Remember back in September when I said Jordan accounting for half the leaderboard felt like dominance? He read that and took it personally. This week, MJ put six cards in the top ten, six of them were his historic Fleer rookie card. Different grades, different bidders, same result. I’ve been doing this long enough now to know that doesn’t happen by accident. That’s a market with real depth, and it says something about where collectors are putting their confidence heading into the end of the year. Kobe did his best to keep pace with three more Eminence autographs, continuing a back-and-forth between these two that has quietly become the storyline entering the fall. Jordan sweeps, Kobe answers, Jordan comes back harder. And then, in the ten spot, Steph Curry snuck in to keep the modern crowd honest. Scroll on down and see how it all shoot out. If you’re a Jordan collector, you might want to sit down first.

Six Jordans, three Kobe’s, and a Curry. If you would’ve told me in September that the two names on top of the board that week would still be trading punches in November, I’d have believed you, but I wouldn’t have guessed it would look like this. That’s the thing about the hobby right now, it keeps finding new ways to surprise you, and it only does that because of the collectors who show up each and every week. Congratulations to everyone who took home a piece of this list, and to the rest of you, the board resets every week. Be sure to check out Pristine Live! to see what comes up next, because at this point I’ve stopped trying to predict who will own each week. I just know somebody will.
